Een uitleg van de toch wel intrigerende zin aan het einde van Hoofdstuk 15:
“Make this year different by making it all the same” (T15.XI.10:11), door Kenneth Wapnick uit: Journey Through The Text of A Course in Miracles:
“So will the year begin in joy and freedom. There is much to do, and we have been long delayed. Accept the holy instant as this year is born, and take your place, so long left unfulfilled, in the Great Awakening [i.e, the Atonement] , Make this year different by making it all the same.
This is an implicit word play on different, wherein Jesus says to us: “Make this coming year different from all the others by having everything be the same, not seeing differences, but seeing everyone and every situation as sharing the single purpose of forgiveness. People either ask for love or express it, and regardless of which it is, your response is never different, being only always love. Whatever you do will be joyfully the same – defenselessly loving, kind, and gentle – for it will come from a vision that sees God’s Sons as the same, with no true differences among them. Finally if you and your brother are the same, then you and I are the same as well, and we and God are the same in the sense of our not being separate from the Oneness of creation and creation’s unity with its Creator.”
